They are used to control the electrical operation of compressors, pumps, presses, hydraulic and pneumatics equipment. The contacts open or close the circuit depending on the position of the indicating pointer and they are adjustable over the whole range. For application on severe working conditions, such as rapid and frequent pressure change, vibration and pulsation, they are manufactured with the case liquid filled. The filling drastically reduces the effect of such factors as well as those caused by a corrosive atmosphere, giving longer life and better performances of the pressure gauge and their electric contacts. The Bourdon tube is the heart of the pressure measuring system. The materials for the Bourdon tube are copper alloys and stainless steel (strictly AISI 316L), which are machined on special machines. The machines have been developed over many years of research and are the ” know how ” of the company. The shape of the machined Bourdon tube is checked by a very precise dimensional control system. The connection of the measuring element with the measurement standards is achieved through the use of a laser marking system.
Welding and brazing procedures are certified and use modern automatic robotic systems, backed up by the high professionalism of the operators, who are a key factor in the success of the company.
All welded parts are tested on a helium leak detector capable of measuring leaks of 1 x 10-7mbar/l/s-1.
All calibration and assembly procedures are performed using high-performance automated systems designed specifically for us. Calibration procedures are carried out by the co-operation of our well-trained technical staff.
Our manufacturing methods guarantee the reliability of measurement accuracy and repeatability that is inherent in Nuova Fima products, which are at the forefront of the pressure and temperature measurement market.
