Description of TRIO.BAS MULTIFLEX 1+2

MULTIFLEX is a stainless steel control module with internal aspirating head, capable of performing sampling independently, without connection of external satellites. If necessary, connection of two additional independent external satellites is possible.

Two satellites are connected to the control module via electronic cable (from 5 to 20 meters length), ensuring system flexibility. The presence of multiple aspirating heads allows continuous microbiological environmental monitoring in compliance with regulatory requirements. Operation is possible both with standard satellites and with satellites equipped with TRI CLAMPS connections. These instruments are particularly suitable for pharmaceutical production where RABS or isolators are frequently used, and limited space does not allow use of standard air samplers. Sampling data can be exported for further analysis or inspector verification.

Satellite connection to command unit

Satellites can be connected to the command unit in two ways:

1. Flexible cable (code 265) up to 5 m length (standard), with possibility of custom cables up to 20 m length on request. Cable equipped with 4-pin male/female connectors. Compatible with all satellite types.
2. Hermetic wall pass-through in stainless steel (code 267). Provides sterile cable introduction through cleanroom barrier construction. Flexible cables not included. Designed for standard satellites only.

Features

• MULTIFLEX 1+2 air sampler and satellites are fabricated from AISI 316 stainless steel.
• Main users: pharmaceutical production, cleanrooms and biotechnology companies.
• Barcode module, using Bluetooth scanner, automatically registers operator, location and plates used during sampling. Data from scanner is transmitted directly to the instrument.
• Solution is particularly convenient for users employing plates with barcode or 2D-code (QR-code).
• Collected data is transferred via Bluetooth from sampler to PC or laptop (special software required).
• Data transfer to smartphone or tablet (Android) is also possible with subsequent export to PC.
• Cable data transfer is also available — particularly useful for organizations where security policy prohibits use of wireless communication.
• Instrument operation is possible in both manual and automatic mode.
• Battery charging is performed via cable connected directly to the air sampler.
• Air flow 200 l/min reduces operator time and sampling duration.
• Doubling of aspirated air volume allows reducing sampling time.
• Instrument allows monitoring of separate cleanrooms using one external control module. Cross-contamination risk is reduced, as satellites are placed stationary inside each room.
• Use of sterile disposable aspirating heads “Daily Shift” reduces contamination risk.
• Possibility of connecting 2 or 3 different aspirating heads allows simultaneous use of different culture media or performing sampling BEFORE process start (at rest), DURING (in operation) and AFTER cycle completion.
• LED indicator on the left side of display shows sampling status via different blinking frequency: delay wait, sampling in progress, sampling pause.
