Description of TRIO.BAS TRIO.CPS

As with passive sampling, air samplers are not required for surface sampling. However, TRIO.CPS is a specially designed tool for standardizing surface sampling. When used with contact plate, the system ensures uniform plate pressure against surface.

Digital timer records sampling time (10 seconds).

Features

• TRIO.CPS is used for evaluating cleaning effectiveness of all surfaces contacting with food and dairy products, during HACCP system validation and personnel training
• TRIO.CPS is compatible with most standard contact plates (e.g., RODAC) 55 mm diameter: standard weight and 10 seconds contact with visual indication allow compliance with ISO 18593 requirements for horizontal surface sampling
• Metal base ensures ease of sterilization/disinfection
• CFU (Colony Forming Units) counting is performed after incubation, and results are expressed in CFU/cm² or CFU/plate
• Ideally suitable for standard culture media: total bacterial count (Trypticase Soy Agar with lecithin and polysorbate 80) and yeast and mold count (Sabouraud Glucose Agar with lecithin and polysorbate 80)

The sampler is used in cleanrooms of pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology production facilities and medical institutions for standardized surface monitoring using traditional irradiated culture media.

TRIO.CPS System Operating Procedure

1. Insert timer into TRIO.CPS
2. Set for 10 seconds
3. Slide the contact plate into position
4. Remove the lid from the contact plate
5. Press the TRIO.CPS system to the surface to be sampled
6. Start the 10 seconds timer and lift up the TRIO.CPS at the conclusion of timed sample
7. Apply the lid to the contact plate, remove the plate and transfer to microbiology lab
8. Report the results as CFU/plate or CFU/cm²
